New Zealandís fast bowler Timothy Southee has injured his right ankle during a practice session and hence his availability will be doubtful for the Twenty20 match against England at Old Trafford.

Southee sprained his right ankle during fielding practice in Nottingham on Monday. However, a serious injury has been ruled out after a MRI scan was done in London on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old would not be playing the warm-up game against Worcestershire at New Road.

The youngster played in the first Test at Lord`s which was drawn before he fell ill. Thereafter, in-form Iain O`Brien did not leave much of an opportunity for Southee to be included in the playing eleven in the remaining matches. England won the Test series 2-0.

Following the Twenty20 game, five one-dayers will be played between England and the visitors. The first ODI will take place at Durham`s Riverside Ground on Sunday.
