England have added Yorkshire's Tim Bresnan to their squad for Wednesday Twenty20 International against South Africa to replace Ryan Sidebottom.

The seamer will miss Wednesday's Twenty20 match with South Africa due to an ongoing hip problem.

However, he is likely to return for the first one-dayer of a five-match series against South Africa starting on Friday.

Tomorrow's match is Kevin Pietersen first one-day international as captain since assuming the full-time role from Michael Vaughan, but he will have to plan without Sidebottom, and former one-day captain Paul Collingwood, who is suspended.

England coach Peter Moores says his side will take tomorrow's game very seriously.

"You can't take anything lightly - everyone's fighting for places and everyone's fighting to get ready to go," said Moores. "By the very nature of that it will be a proper game.

"What I know about Scotland is that when they played against Sussex they were always massively up for the game so you have to be up for the game as well," he added.
