The New Zealand Cricket has added extra third Test and a second Twenty20 International for India's tour to New Zealand after BCCI requested them to accommodate an additional Test match.

The Indian team will arrive in New Zealand on February 20, a week early, and will play the Twenty20 match in Christchurch on February 25 being the first match of the tour.

Napier would host the additional third Test, which has been fixed between the previous scheduled two Tests. The New Zealand Cricket had to reshuffle to fit in the Test match and a T20 international as per the request made by BCCI.

BCCI secretary N. Srinivasan is quite pleased with the gesture showed by their counterpart as they agreed on an extended tour.

"I convey my thanks to the New Zealand Cricket for giving a positive response to our request for having an extended Test series," he added.
