Kiwis set to chase 162 for victory

The Kiwis have been set a run chase of 162 to win the opening game of their two match Twenty20 series against the Twenty20 World Cup champions Pakistan.

Put into bat by stand in skipper Brendan McCullum Pakistan got of to a good start with opener Imran Nazir scoring 58 of just 38 balls, Nazir score included four sixes in his innings.

With the Kiwis bowling attack depleted with the injuries to Daniel Vettoti, Kyle Mills and James Franklin it was left to Aaron Redmond to spearhead the attack and he responded by taking 2 wickets.

Once Nazir left Abdul Razzaq kept the run rate going with an unbeaten 26 to set the Kiwis a big run chase.
