India's preparations for the second Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka at the PCA Stadium on Saturday evening were doubt a major blow with the news that all-rounder Rohit Sharma will miss the game.

Rohit injured his shoulder during India's 29 run defeat against Sri Lanka on Thursday night in Nagpur and despite under going intense physiotherapy on the injury Rohit was declared unit.

All rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been called into the squad to replace Rohit who joins Sreesanth on the injury list. Sreesanth was missing from the line up on Thursday night and he has been unable to shake off a vital infection.

"Sreesanth and Rohit will not play tomorrow's match. He (Sreesanth) has not recovered from viral infection and Rohit hurt his shoulder while fielding during the last match in Nagpur." said Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Although Rohit took part in a training session on Friday morning it was decided not to play him. "He took part in the practice session but he is not match fit and we don't want to take any chances" Dhoni added.

"We will decide on the playing XI tomorrow. We will have another look at the conditions" he said.
