New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori has won the toss and decided to bat first against Sri Lanka in first ever Twenty20 International series in North America.

The two game Twenty20 series will be played at the 20,000 capacity Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida, the only ICC approved cricket facility in North America.

The matches are part of a new partnership between New Zealand Cricket and the USA Cricket Association. With an estimated 15 million cricket fans in the United States the two game series marks the beginning of USA Cricket’s attempts to established a larger fans base in North America.
