Samit Patel and Craig Kieswetter have been named in Englandís 13 man squad ahead of their t20 international against Sri Lanka at the County Ground in Bristol on Saturday.
Nottinghamshire all rounder Patel and Somerset wicket keeper Kieswetter have been recalled after England dropped former t20 World Cup skipper Paul Collingwood and wicket keeper Matt Prior.
"Samit Patel has taken significant steps in the right direction and he has more hard work ahead in order to make further progress," said England selector Geoff Miller.
"Samit is one of a number of players, like Craig Kieswetter, who comes back into the limited overs set up on the back of some excellent form and plenty of hard work," he added.
"Craig has been in exciting form for Somerset so far this year and while Matt Prior has been outstanding in the Test team we believe Craig will offer some real fire power with the bat along with his ability with the gloves."
Despite leading England to World Cup glory in the Caribbean last year, Collingwood has been dropped after only just returning to domestic action with Durham after recovering from a knee injury.
"Paul Collingwood has been an inspirational limited overs cricketer for England over many years and we still see a role for him in this capacity based on form and fitness," said Miller.
"His omission is purely down to form over a period of time and we look forward to him getting plenty of cricket under his belt for Durham as he presses to reclaim a place in the England limited overs set up," he added.
"He has always brought a great deal to the England team and we know he'll be working as hard as ever to reach peak form and fitness with an England recall firmly in the forefront of his mind."
England t20 Squad: Stuart Broad (captain), Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Jade Dernbach, Steven Finn, Craig Kieswetter, Michael Lumb, Eoin Morgan, Samit Patel, Kevin Pietersen, Graeme Swann, Chris Woakes, Luke Wright.
