Misbah guides Pakistan to six wicket victory

Felix Austin | cricket20

Misbah-ul-Haq helped Pakistan seal a comfortable six wicket victory over Sri Lanka to win their one off t20 International in a one sided match at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The Pakistan skipper smashed 48 runs off just 38 deliveries to help the hosts chase down a victory target of 142 after Aizaz Cheema (4-30) picked up four wickets to help bowl Sri Lanka out for just 141 with three balls remaining in their innings.

Having seen his side slump to just 44-3 in the 7th over, Misbah, in partnership with Shahid Afridi (22) guided Pakistan to victory. The skipper smashed three boundaries and a six to seal the hostís third straight t20 victory.

Sri Lanka meanwhile suffered further misery as their tour of the Middle East ended with another defeat despite an impressive half century from Dinesh Chandimal (56).

The tourists got off to a good start thanks to Chandimal and Tillakaratne Dilshan (28) but once the pair had been removed Sri Lanka collapsed from 87-2 to 141 all out in just over 10 overs.
