Sri Lanka seal 37 run victory over Pakistan

Thisara Perera smashed a quick fire 32 and picked up a wicket to help Sri Lanka seal a 37 run victory over Pakistan in a low scoring affair at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.

Perera smashed two boundaries and two sixes during a 16 ball cameo to help Sri Lanka post a total of 132-7 after losing Mahela Jayawardene (2) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (5).

Lahiru Thirimanne (30) offered support to leave Pakistan facing a run chase of 133 to take a 1-0 lead in their best of two t20 International series.

Pakistanís run chase got off to the worst possible start after they lost Mohammad Hafeez (0) and Shakeel Ansar (0) after just two deliveries from Nuwan Kulasekara (2-13).

Ahmed Shehzad (36) and Umar Akmal (12) offered some resistantís but with wickets falling at regular intervals Pakistan were restricted to a total of just 95 after they were bowled out in the 18th over.
