Yuvraj Singh sees off Pakistan to level series

A half century from Yuvraj Singh was enough to help India level their two game t20 International series against Pakistan thanks to an 11 run victory at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Yuvraj was at his devastating best after he smashed 72 runs from just 36 balls including four boundaries and seven sixes to help India post an imposing total of 192-5.

MS Dhoni (33) and Virat Kohli (27) offered support as India bounced back from their five wicket defeat against Pakistan on Christmas Day to leave the rivals facing a run chase of 193 to win the series.

Nasir Jamshed (41) and Ahmes Shehzad (31) got Pakistanís run chase off to the best possible start thanks to an opening stand of 74 which was only ended in the 10th over by Ravichandran Ashwin (1-28).

Shehzad and Umar Akmal (24) quickly followed before Mohammad Hafeez (55) threatened to spoil Indiaís day with a quick fire half century which put the visitors on course for victory before Ashok Dinda (3-36) struck in the penultimate over to remove Hafeez.

With the tension increasing Kamran Akmal (5) quickly departed as India struck back to record an impressive victory after Umar Gul (5) was dismissed by Ishant Sharma with the final delivery of the game.
