Big hitting England canter to empathic victory

England sealed a 2-1 t20 International series victory over New Zealand thanks to a crushing 10 wicket victory in a one sided match at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington.

Faced with a victory target of 140, Alex Hales (80) and Micheal Lumb (53) steered England to victory with 44 balls to spare to record their second 10 wicket victory in t20 International cricket.

After being dropped early on, Hales led the way smashing nine boundaries and four sixes to help England bounce back from a disappointing result against the Kiwi’s on Wednesday night.

It proved to be a poor night for the Kiwi’s after they posted a total of 139-8; Martin Guptill (59) led the way for the home side with a quick fire half century but with wicket falling at regular intervals the Kiwis were no match for England.
