England have delayed naming their squad for the one-day series against Sri Lanka later this month after an injury to stand-in captain Andrew Flintoff.
The England and Wales Cricket Board said the announcement due on Wednesday had been postponed until later this week.
"The England medical staff is awaiting further information on Andrew Flintoff's injured left ankle and an update will be issued tomorrow," the ECB said in a statement.
England drew the test series 1-1 after losing the final match on Tuesday, playing without captain Michael Vaughan as well as regular bowlers Steve Harmison, Simon Jones, James Anderson and Ashley Giles because of injury.
Flintoff played with a sore ankle and a scan showed bone fragments floating round the joint.
