Opener Chris Nevin’s unbeaten 87 underpinned a six-wicket victory for State Wellington Firebirds against State Central Stags at the Basin Reserve.
Stags captain Jamie How made 63 as the visitors posted 180 for five batting first.
Nevin’s knock, from 53 balls, included eight fours and three sixes, was supported by Grant Elliot’s unbeaten 57, the pair launching an stand of 123 to back up Mark Houghton’s three-wicket haul.
