Outgoing State Twenty20 champions Canterbury Wizards ended their reign with a two-run win over State Northern Knights at Whangarei’s Cobham Oval.
Wizards captain Chris Harris continued in his position as the competition’s leading scorer with an unbeaten 45, including three fours and a pair of sixes, as Canterbury posted 125 for four.
Knights captain James Marshall led his team with 48, but they fell agonizingly short, missing out by just two runs with two wickets to spare.
