Lou Vincent smashed 105 from just 60 balls to help the Auckland Aces cruise to a 68 run victory over the Wellington Firebirds at Colin Maiden Park in Auckland.
The Aces hit a record breaking 229 to leave the Firebirds chasing a huge total.
Neil Parlane played well for the visitors but his 85 from 50 wasn't enough as the wickets continued to fall at the over end to leave the Firebirds some distance from the winning total.
Vincent was in savage form enjoying an opening partnership of 149 with Martin Guptill.
Vincentís 105 came off only 60 balls and his knock included 8 fours and 6 sixes.
