Aces cruise to easy victory over the Knights

Scott Styris had a game to remember for the Auckland Aces after scoring 59 and taking three wickets to help the home side cruise to an 18 run victory over the Northern Knights at Colin Maiden Park in Auckland.

Styris claim three wickets conceding just 15 runs to reduce the Knights to 136/9 chasing a total of 154.

Peter McGlashan and Tillerkaratne Dilshan started well for the Knights enjoying an opening partnership of 43 but once Dilshan departed the Knights collapsed losing 7 wickets to leave them 87/8.

Joseph Yovich (22) and Bradley Scott (20) gave the Knight some hope with a string of boundaries but they came up just short to hand the win to the Aces which see;s then top the HRV Cup standings.
