Persistent heavy rain at Molyneux Park in Alexandra ruined any chance the Otago Volts and Canterbury Wizards had of starting their HRV Twenty20 Cup game.
The game was abandoned without a ball being bowled; the result now means the Wizards are unable to claim second place in the group stages and qualify for the HRV Twenty20 Cup final.
