The Nashua Dolphins won the toss and elected to bat first at Kingsmead but it was the visiting Nashua Titans who got of to the better start.

Dolphins openers Imraan Khan (7) and Loots Bosman (5) only lasted 5 overs to leave the Dolphins 25-2.

Ahmed Amla and Dale Benkenstein stated to wrestle the advantage away from the Titans thanks to a 19 run partnership before Benkenstein was caught by Jacques Rudolph off the bowling Albie Morkel for 13.

Amla was joined at the crease by David Miller and the pair scored 42 runs before the forecasted heavy rain struck forcing the players to leave the ground for over an hour.

Amla and Miller returned to face 3 more balls before more heavy rain started to fall leaving the umpires with no choice but to abandon the game.
