Gulam Bodi smashed an unbeaten 88 to help the Nashua Titans claim a 17 run victory over the Nashua Cape Cobras in a rain effected game at SuperSport Park in Centurion.
Bodi batted throughout the Titans 12 overs and enjoyed a 70 run partnership with Blake Snijman (27) and a 66 run partnership with Faf du Plessis (18) to help the home side reach 136.
The Cobras got of to a poor start in their run chase losing Andrew Puttick (9) and Henry Davis (11) inside the first 3 overs.
The Cobras rebuilt their innings thanks to a superb 48 from Herschelle Gibbs but as the visitors closed in on the winning target Albie Morkel took a stunning catch to dismiss Gibbs to change to course of the game.
The wicket of Gibbs was the breakthrough the Titans desperately needed and they quickly claimed the wickets of Robin Peterson (10), Richard Levi (13) and Justin Ontong (0) to seal the victory.
