Robbie Frylinck smashed the last ball of the game for a six to lead the bizhub Highveld Lions to a thrilling 4 wicket victory over the Nashua Titans at the Wanderes in Johannesburg.
The Lions were set a target of 144 and entered the last over needing another 17 runs for victory. David Wiese was given the task of bowling the last over but he could only watch as he was first 5 balls were hit for 13 runs.
With Frylinck facing the last ball the Lions needed another four runs but Wiese bowled a full toss which Frylinck smashed over third man to claim the victory in the best of three semi final.
The Lions won the toss and put the Titans into bat and they successfully kept the Titans powerful batting line up quite with only wicket keeper Heino Kuhn providing any resistant scoring 35 to help lead the Titans to a total of 143/5.
The Lions and Titans play the second game of their three game semi-final in Centurion on March 5.
