Warriors demolish Lions to claim Pro20 title

The Chevrolet Warriors crushed the bizhub Highveld Lions by 82 runs at St Georgeís Park in Port Elizabeth to win the Standard Bank Pro20 Series title.

South African international Ashwell Prince (69) and Jacques Kallis (55) smashed half centuries to help the Warriors post their highest total in this years Pro20 Series of 186/2.

Faced with such a large run chase the Lions never challenged the Warriors total ending 82 runs a drift of their target to spark wild celebrations inside St Georgeís Park from the home team.

Spin was the key for the Warriors in the Lions run chase as Johan Botha and Nicky Boje kept the Lions at bay each taking 2 wickets each to restrict the visitorís batsman.

Richard Cameron ended the innings as the Lions top scorer managing just 15 runs.
