Richard Levi scored an unbeaten half century to help the Nashua Cape Cobras record a 13 run Duckworth Lewis victory over the Chevrolet Knights at the OUTsurance Oval in Bloemfontein.
Levi completed his half century from just 30 deliveries before heavy rain forced the Cobras innings to be curtailed with the visitors 91-1 after Herschelle Gibbs (33) had been run out in the 7th over.
With the game reduced to ten overs a side the Knights got their Duckworth Lewis adjusted run chase of 95 off to a disastrous start after they lost Dean Elgar (2) and Ryan Bailey (5) inside the first two overs.
Rilee Rossouw (35) and Adrian McLaren (12) gave the home side hope with a 3rd wicket partnership of 43 but when the pair were both dismissed within the space of 3 balls the momentum returned to the Cobras.
Ryan McLaren (1) and JJ van der Wath (13) quickly followed as a middle order collapse left the Knights 13 runs short to hand victory to the Cobras.
