Heavy rain forced the Standard Bank Pro20 Series group match between the Highveld Lions and Chevrolet Knights at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom to be abandoned.

Having been set a run chase of 138 the Lions lost two early wickets to leave them 12-2 after Jonathan Vandiar (8) and Alviro Petersen (3) had been dismissed within the space of 5 deliveries.

With the Knights sensing victory heavy rain forced the players from the pitch in the 3rd over leaving the umpires with no choice but to call the game off after an hours delay.

Having batted first the Knights reached 137-6 thanks to Reeza Hendricks who top scored with an innings of 47. The opener smashed 4 fours and a six during his 38 delivery stay at the crease.
