The Chevrolet Warriors claimed a 4 wicket victory over the Nashua Dolphins to win game one of their three game Standard Bank Pro20 semi final series.

Craig Thyssen smashed 22 runs off just 8 balls to seal victory with 7 balls to spare.

Faced with a victory target of just 129 the Warriors made hard work of the run chase thanks to Jon Kent who picked up 3 wickets during his 4 overs spell which cost only 25 runs.

Warriors skipper Davy Jacobs (27) lead the way but when he was trapped LBW by Kent in the 14th over it was left to Thyssen to smash the visitors to victory with 1 four and two sixes.

Having batted first the Dolphins suffered similar batting woes and were heavily indebted to Ahmed Amla who scored a vital half century to help the home side reach 128-5.

Having arrived at the crease with the score 29-3 Amla and Vaughn van Jaarsveld (31) rescued the Warriors innings with a 4th wicket partnership of 63 before van Jaarsveld was dismissed in the 15th over.
