Graham Aldridge removed four wickets for only 129 runs to give his side a fighting chance.

Anton Devcich was run out first ball, but opening partner Nick Horsley and wicket-keeper Peter McGlashan put on 123 for the second wicket as they recovered well.

Horsley went for 51, and McGlashan 94, but Northern hit their target with two balls to spare.
