Watson hopes he'll make Twenty20 cup
Injured all-rounder Shane Watson is optimistic he'll be fit to join the Australian team in South Africa for the Twenty20 World Cup.
Watson has been working hard on recovering from a left hamstring strain that stopped him flying out with the team on Monday.
Wet weather prevented him from training with the Queensland team on Thursday, but he told Bulls officials he was positive about his chances.
A final decision is expected within 48 hours.
Cricket Australia is also expected to announce whether captain Ricky Ponting will join the side for the inaugural tournament.
Ponting has remained in Sydney for personal reasons, understood to be an illness in the family.
