WI confident ahead of Proteas clash

West Indies Captain Ramnaresh Sarwan said Monday that it is important for his team to stay focused.

They must also concentrate on what they have to do in order to get the better of hosts South Africa in Tuesday's opening game of the first ever Twenty20 World Cup in Johannesburg

After playing well in the warm up games against Kenya and New Zealand, the West Indies confidence is high and Captain Sarwan thinks his team is a very rounded one with a lot of all rounders.

The hosts start as second favourites behind Australia among the 12 teams in the two week tournament.

The South Africans gained a bit of a psychological advantage over the teams by defeating Australia in Sunday's final warm up game.

Neither the West Indies nor South Africa can afford to lose Tuesday with Bangladesh also in the group from where the top two teams from each of the four groups will advance.
