England to bat first in crucial group game


Pakistan captain Younus Khan has won the toss in todayís crucial Group B game at the Brit Oval against England.

Khan didnít hesitate in deciding to put England into bat first on an overcast evening.

England who needs to win to stay in the competition have made several major changes to the team which lost against the Dutch on Friday night.

Eion Morgan and Ryan Sidebottom have been dropped from the side and replaced by Dimitri Mascarenhas and Graeme Swann who were both surprisingly left out of the team which faced the Dutch.

The main news from the Oval is that Kevin Pietersen is fit to play and that means Robert key will make way for Englandís star man.

Pakistan meanwhile have made just make one change from the team that lost to India in the warm up game at Trent Bridge, with opener Shahzaib Hasan making way for Salman Butt.
