Pakistan cruise to comprehensive 68 run victory

Pakistan cruised to an easy win over the Windward Islands in the first of today’s Twenty20 World Cup warm up games in the West Indies.

Set a target of 161 for victory the Windward Island finished 68 runs short having struggled against Pakistan’s seamers, Mohammad Aamer was in impressive form picking up a wicket and conceding just 13 runs from his 4 overs.

Keddy Lesporis top scored for the Windward Island with a 33 ball 24.

Having won the toss Pakistan got off to a poor start losing openers Kamran Akmal (9) and Salman Butt (18) inside the first 4 overs but a fine half century from Mohammad Hafeez rescued the defending champs as they set the Windward Island a tough target.
