Imrul Kayes half century set up Tigers victory


Imrul Kayes smashed a quick fire half century to help Bangladesh cruise to a comfortable 36 run victory over Barbados as the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown.

The Tigers were put into back by the home side and Kayes built a first wicket partnership of 77 with Mohammad Ashraful (35) to set the foundations of a big total.

Kayes was supported by Aftab Ahmed (26) and Shakib Al Hasan (11) as the Tigers reached 166-5.

In replay Barbados got off to the worst possible start losing opener Rashidi Boucher in the first over and despite Ryan Hinds top scoring with 50 Barbados ended their 20 overs 36 runs short.
