Having been set a target of 127 England made light work of the run chase thanks to a wonderful innings of 62 from Ravi Bopara who shared a third wicket partnership of 71 with Paul Collingwood.
Englands new look opening pair of Michael Lumb and Craig Kieswetter opened the batting for England but could only managed a partnership of 10 before Lumb was dismissed by Syed Rasel.
Kieswetter (22) soon followed after he was stumped leaving Bopara and Collingwood to lead England to victory.
Having won the toss Bangladesh batted first and started off brightly thanks to an opening partnership of 39 between Imrul Kayes and Mohammad Ashraful.
With the Tigers looking to set England a big total Michael Yardy struck three times to wrestle control of the game away from Bangladesh.
