Sri Lanka cruise to victory over the West Indies

Sri Lanka got their preparations off to the perfect start thanks to a crushing nine wicket victory over the West Indies in a t20 World Cup warm up match at Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground in Colombo.

Having restricted the Windies to a total of 132-6, Mahela Jayawardene (57) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (50) steered the World Cup hosts to victory with 26 balls to spare thanks to a second wicket stand of 103.

It proved to be a disappointing day for the West Indies who lost Lendl Simmons (2) and Dwayne Smith (5) inside the first two overs and never really recovered.
