Dhoni leads India to 26 run victory; round up

India skipper MS Dhoni smashed a quick fire half century to help his side beat Sri Lanka by 26 runs in their opening t20 World Cup warm up match at the P Sara Oval in Colombo.

Dhoni smashed four boundaries and three sixes during his 42 ball innings to help India record a total of 146-5 after Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first.

In reply Sri Lanka were restricted to a total of 120 thanks to an impressive bowling performance from Irfan Pathan (5-25) after he picked up five wickets to help India complete a comprehensive victory.

Elsewhere there were victories for Australia, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
