Lions shock the DareDevils to reach t20 final

The bizhub Highveld Lions booked their place in the t20 Champions League Final on Sunday after they shocked the Delhi DareDevils thanks to a 22 run victory at Kingsmead in Durban.

The Lions victory ensures this year’s tournament will be won by a team from South Africa or Australia and it also sets up the possibility of an all South African final should the Nashua Titans beat the Sydney Sixers tomorrow night.

Having set the DareDevils a victory target of 140 the Lions bowled superbly to restrict the IPL franchise to a total of just 117-9 with only Kevin Pietersen (50) offering any resistant’s.

Chris Morris (2-7) was the picked of the bowlers after Gulam Bodi (50) and Neil McKenzie (46) helped the Lions post a total of 139-5 after they were put into bat by DareDevils skipper Ross Taylor.
