Collingwood delighted with England performance

England Twenty20 captain Paul Collingwood was delighted with his teams performance in their Duckworth Lewis win over South Africa at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

England played with style not seen before and were fearless in their shot selection. The performance was a far cry from those during the World Cup in the summer when players were scared to attack the bowlers opting to defend the good balls and only feed off poor deliveries.

"There are areas we've got to improve on but I'm ecstatic with the way we've bounced back," said Collingwood. "We've shown we're a very good team when we play well. It was a great performance.

"Obviously it's completely different conditions, but just the attitude we took out there showed that we backed ourselves."

Collingwood hailed the performance of Johanthan Trott who played his first game in South Africa since qualifying to play for England.

"Tonight there was some exceptional batting, the way Trotty kind of got the innings going there up top," said Collingwood. "And then the way Morgs came in and played - some of the strokeplay was just exceptional."
