The defending Friends Life t20 champions, the Hampshire Royals go into their Semi Final clash against the Somerset Sabres full of confidence to secure their place in back to back Finals.
The clash at Edgbaston is a rematch of last years final which the Royals won by virtue of losing fewer wickets after they tied the game during a dramatic final over at the Rosebowl.
With a place in the t20 Champions League up for grabs as well the Royals are aiming to break the Sabres hearts once again as they try to become the first County to successfully defended their t20 title.
"As defending champions it was one of our priorities right from the beginning of the season to be at Friends Life t20 finals day again so we’re over the moon to still be in the mix for a chance to defend our crown at Edgbaston," said Royals player Jimmy Adams.
"We know what a great occasion it is, how much it means to the club and the supporters and what a great feeling it is for us, as players, to win a competition like this, so we’ll be doing everything in our power to bring the trophy back to the Rose Bowl," he added.
The 2005 champions meanwhile will be looking to finally secure a second title after they suffered Final defeats in 2010 (Royals) and 2009 (Sussex Sharks).
