Mohammad Hafeez stared with the bat and ball once again to help Pakistan seal a 5 run victory despite some late fireworks from Tatenda Taibu to seal a 2-0 series victory against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club.
Hafeez (51) scored his second half century of the series before taking three wickets to help Pakistan defend a total of just 141 to secure their second victory in the space of 48 hours.
The opener looked in total control once again as he smashed five boundaries and one six to help Pakistan reach a total of 141-7 after the early loss of Asad Shafiq (9) and Rameez Raja (1).
Umar Akmal (28) and Misbah-ul-Haw (15) offered support to give the Pakistan bowlers a total they were able to defend despite a spirited innings of 37 from Tatenda Taibu.
Faced with a run chase of 142, the hosts looked out of the game having slumped to just 52-4 before Taibu came to the crease in the 12th over.
With the pressure mounting, the wicket keeper smashed three boundaries during a 7th wicket stand of 38 with Elton Chigumbura (24) after the quick loss of Hamilton Masakadza (3) and Charles Coventry (9).
Despite the lose of Chigumbura, Taibu kept the pressure on Pakistan by smashing a seal from the first ball of the last over to help Zimbabwe almost cause an upset.
