The Kolkata Knight Riders kept their hopes of reaching the t20 Champions League semi finals alive thanks to a 22 run Duckworth Lewis victory over the Chevrolet Warriors at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.

Faced with a run chase of 156, the Knight Riders reached 83-1 in the 9th over before heavy rain forced the players and umpires off the pitch at 22.50.

With no let up in sight from the rain, umpires Marais Erasmus and S Ravi, had little option but to abandoned the game at 23.25 with the Knight Riders 22 runs ahead of the Duckworth Lewis par score.

With rain approaching Guatam Gambhir (33) and Jacques Kallis (31) ensured the IPL franchise would be in a winning position thanks to a quick fire 2nd wicket stand of 48 from just 33 balls.

Having batted first the Warriors recorded a total of 155-4 thanks in no small part to Colin Ingram who smashed three boundaries and three sixes to help put the South Africans on top.
