The Chennai Super Kings title defence got off to a disastrous start after they were restricted to a total of just 112 after they were punished by the Mumbai Indians at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The defending champs suffered three run outs as Harbhajan Singh’s side stamped their authority on the match to leave the visitors with a relatively simple run chase to get their tournament off to a great start.

Suresh Raina offered some much needed resistant with a top score of 36 but Pragyan Ojha (2-17) and Kieron Pollard (2-15) ensured the t20 Champions League champions would face a run chase of just 113.
