The Delhi DareDevils cruised to a comprehensive eight wicket victory over the Chennai Super Kings in a one sided affair at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.
Faced with a victory target of just 111, the DareDevils completed victory with 40 balls to spare thanks to Virender Sehwag (33) and Kevin Pietersen (43).
Mahela Jayawardene added a quick fire 20 to help the DareDevils bounce back after suffering a disappointing 20 run defeat against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday.
It proved to be another disappointing day for the defending champions though who have so far failed to totally fire in the group stages as the suffered their second defeat in the space of three games.
The Super Kings chances of victory were not helped after they suffered four run outs including that of Murali Vijay (0) who was run out from the first ball of the match without facing a delivery.
Dwayne Bravo offered some hope with a patient 22 from 31 deliveries but the Super Kings score of 110-8 was never going to be enough against a team which included Sehwag, Pietersen and Jayawardene.
