The Sussex Sharks became the first team to seal a place in the Friends Life t20 quarter finals thanks to a six wicket Duckworth Lewis victory over the Surrey Lions at the Kia Oval in London.
Set a revised total of 109, the Sharks sealed victory with 20 balls to spare thanks to Luke Wright (32) and Matt Prior (25) who lead the way with the bat for the visitors.
There was also a victory tonight for the Nottinghamshire Outlaws who sealed a eight wicket Duckworth Lewis victory over the Lancashire Lightning at Trent Bridge.
The nights other match between the Welsh Dragons and the Worcestershire Royals at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
