Former Australia t20 skipper Cameron White is ready to use the t20 World Cup as a launching pad to reignite is faltering international career.

White, who faces Pakistan on Wednesday evening in Dubai will play his first t20 international since being dumped as skipper in October 2011.

After enjoying a good summer for the Northants Steelbacks in the Friends Life 20 tournament White is now fully focused on kick starting his international career.

"It's great to get another chance to play well under what is the most pressure you can be under in the Twenty20 format," said White to Fox Sports.

"I enjoyed the 2010 World Cup and we got pretty close so it would be nice to go one better this time," he added.
