India will bounce back to avoid Afghanistan shock

India batsman Rohit Sharma has said India will bounce back from defeat against Pakistan in order to avoid a famous upset against cricketing minnow Afghanistan.

Having suffered defeat against Pakistan in their final warm up match India will be looking to bounce back with victory in their opening group match against Afghanistan.

"We should bounce back. I am sure we will come good as the tournament progresses. It was just one of those bad days. We will come hard against Afghanistan and take it from there," said Sharma to the ICC cricket website.

"Unfortunately, things didn`t go our way. 186 was a good target on this wicket because I thought there was a bit of help for the spinners, but it was one of those days when things didn`t come together," he Sharma.
