The bizhub Highveld Lions sealed their place in the t20 Champions League semi-finals thanks to a five wicket victory over Yorkshire Carnegie which knocked the Mumbai Indians out of the tournament.

The defending champions needed Yorkshire to win but the Lions held their nerve to seal victory with four balls to spare to claim their place in the semis ahead of the Indians and Chennai Super Kings.

Quinton de Kock (32) and Jean Symes (27) lead the way for the Lions who chased down Yorkshire’s total of 131-7 to seal second place in Group B just behind the Sydney Sixers.

With the chance of qualification for the semis already ended the Indians and Super Kings game at the Wanderers in Johannesburg became a dead rubber which was won by Super Kings who sealed a six run victory.
