Spurned on from their heavy defeat against the Melbourne Stars on Wednesday the Perth Scorchers bounced back with a seven wicket victory over the Sydney Sixers to snap the defending champions 12 game winning streak.

Having restricted the Sixers to a total of just 113-6 the Scorchers cruised to victory with four balls to spare at the SCG thanks to in part to Herschelle Gibbs (40) and Sean Marsh (26).

It proved to be a disappointing day for the Sixers who slumped to just 28-6 before Steve O’Keefe (29) and Bret Lee (22) led a lower order recovery to leave the Scorchers needing just 114 for victory.
