Pro20 moves into full swing

With two matches in three days, the Warriors should know by the end of this weekend whether they still have a chance of qualifying for the Standard Bank Pro20 cricket semifinals.

The action-filled competition moves into full swing this weekend, with two matches scheduled for Friday and another two on Sunday.

The Warriors are facing a hectic start to their programme. They have already played the Diamond Eagles, being well beaten in Bloemfontein on Wednesday, and now face the Dolphins in East London on Friday (6pm), followed by a trip to the Cape for a Sunday afternoon clash against the Cape Cobras.

With his suspension over, skipper Zander de Bruyn will return to lead the side, knowing the Warriors have to find the winning touch rather quickly to stay in contention.

The Diamond Eagles have set the pace with a decisive display against the Warriors and they have a few days' rest before a tilt at the Titans in Centurion on Sunday.

The Cobras, the Dolphins and the Highveld Lions all have double-headers this weekend.

After Friday's clash in East London, the Dolphins have a home game against the Lions on Sunday, while the Lions host the Cobras in Johannesburg on Friday.
