Take Holloway to increase pressure on Jones
Leicester City are worth backing at the evens offered by Bet365 and Coral to maintain manager Ian Holloway’s 100 per cent start by beating Cardiff City in the Coca-Cola Championship at the Walkers Stadium on Monday evening.
Holloway signed a three-and-a-half year deal to become Leicester’s sixth new manager since April only last Thursday but drew an immediate response from his players in a 2-0 victory away to high-flying Bristol City on Saturday, the Foxes’ first win in five games.
The former Plymouth manager must make do without Matt Fryatt after the striker’s late dismissal in that game but will be optimistic about breaching a Cardiff defence that was keeping its first clean sheet since August in a 1-0 defeat of Ipswich Town, also on Saturday.
That win, Cardiff’s first in seven games, helped ease the pressure on their under-fire manager Dave Jones, but the Bluebirds remain poorly placed, sitting eighteenth, three spots behind Leicester and just two points above the drop zone.
Cardiff, who are without an away league win since September 1, are best-priced at 3-1 (totesport, Stan James and Ladbrokes). The draw is available at 23-10 with Bet365 and VC Bet.
