Sussex tickets selling fast

Sussex have revealed they are delighted with advance ticket sales for this season’s Twenty20 Cup. The 2003 competition proved to be a huge success and the floodlit matches at Hove against Surrey on July 2 and Hampshire a week later are attracting a great deal of interest. Since going on sale a few weeks ago the club has been inundated with bookings, the biggest of which was for 56 tickets.
With a ground capacity of only 4,000 and with just four weeks to go, the club have urged fans to book their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Sussex chief executive Hugh Griffiths said: "It's very encouraging to see such interest in the competition and to see these high ticket sales. We were very impressed with the 56 ticket order, we are presuming it's a coach party! The Twenty20 matches are such great entertainment and it really has been passionately adopted by fans in Sussex."
“What is most heartening is to hear from so many people wanting to make return journeys to Hove after the success of last year's competition, many of whom had not been to a cricket match before. We are extremely lucky to be playing both our games under our floodlights which adds to the atmosphere and makes it an unmissable evening of fun and entertainment."
