Berry supports Warne home advantage cliam

Rajasthan Royals coaching director Darren Berry on Sunday supported team captain Shane Warne's criticism that Mumbai Indians will get the home advantage if the Sachin Tendulkar-led side makes it to the semi-finals of the Indian Premier League.

Warne has said that if Mumbai Indians enter the semi-finals they will get the home advantage as the two last four stage matches will be held in Mumbai while his team will be deprived of the same opportunity despite finishing at the top or as second best.

"The venues of the semi-finals should have been the home grounds of the top two teams. If we are entering the semi-finals as number one team then we should play our semi-final match at our home ground," Berry said.

Mumbai Indians have beaten the Jaipur team in the first leg of the tournament and Berry said his team would want to make the record straight on Monday.

Berry said the team will continue to experiment as they have already made it to the semi-finals.

"It will be a good test for us on Monday to gauge our strength and weaknesses," he said.

He said if injured Graeme Smith is not completely fit by Monday he would not be risked for the match.

"We will wait till the last moment. Team physio will have the final call on Monday. If he (Smith) is found 101 per cent fit, we'll risk him playing."
