Hildreth sees Somerset to victory
Worcestershire's three-game Twenty20 Cup winning run ended as Somerset won by seven wickets with an over to spare.
Somerset's win at Taunton leaves them in a three-way tie at the top of the Mids/West/Wales division with Northants and Warwickshire on 10 points.
Chasing 176-8, Marcus Trescothick (34 off 17 balls) and Justin Langer (44) got the home side off to a flier.
James Hildreth (48no) and Craig Kieswetter (31no) then saw Somerset home with comparative ease.
Not surprisingly, on the notorious batsman-friendly Taunton track, Worcestershire ran up one of their best scores of this year's Twenty20.
Having previously only bettered that with 188-5 in beating Gloucestershire at Bristol, they again showed their liking for the West Country.
Ben Smith led the way, hitting two sixes and three fours in his rapid 44 in 24 balls, backed by Stephen Moore (40) and Moeen Ali (36).
But Somerset's vastly experienced openers Trescothick and Langer, with a combined age of 72, soon showed that it was not enough.
